What is a container pre-pull in drayage
How a pre-pull changes terminal pickup
Pre-pulls can reduce pickup pressure but may create chassis, yard, storage, and final delivery timing questions. They are reviewed when the lane and timing work, not automatic.
When receiver timing trails the last free day
LFD arrives before the receiver can take delivery. A pre-pull may move the container out of the facility and into Tacoma yard staging, but pickup access, chassis, yard capacity, timing, and final delivery still need review.
Pre-pull details to provide
- Terminal/ramp, availability, LFD, container number, and pickup timing.
- Receiver appointment, delivery address, and delay reason.
- Expected staging duration, chassis need, and cargo restrictions.
- Final delivery and empty return plan.
Pre-pull work SP Logistics can review
SP Logistics can pull the container before final delivery and stage it at the Tacoma yard when facility access, chassis, yard capacity, and the outbound appointment fit.
Send the LFD and delivery timing
Send release status, LFD, chassis source, receiver-ready time, requested Tacoma staging duration, and final delivery appointment.
